Project 1
How we can optimize Get it Done App to drive higher civil engagement?
Since its launch, Get it Done San Diego has successfully processed over 3.5 million non-emergency community reports. But its usage among the city’s the younger population.
In this case study, I redesigned the Get it Done App to make it more interactive, modern and accessible for younger San Diegans. By bringing this, we can encourage the younger generations to keep their communities safe.
Project 2
Mind Reach
I’m looking into answering the question: How to bridge the gap of Mental Health and Community together through a simple app?
Our understanding on Mental Health continues to grow, but it remains challenging for minorities groups to find the support they need. And most of the time is due to not having enough understanding on this topics or finding a community that understands their unique cultural struggles. Current platforms lack on providing people with community they can connect to and different resources that they can take advantage of.
Reach mind looking into how can Mental Heath and Community can be brought together so people can find the support they need through a specialist or a community.
Project 3
La Jolla Cove, San Diego
How we can redesign better systems to protect the wildlife at La Jolla Cove?
The area of Seal Rock Reserve are among one of the most popular touristic destinations in San Diego. Thus, it has led to human-wildlife conflict, with tourist ignoring the area restrictions and harassing the sea lions.
In order to address this, this project explores design strategies to increase awareness, enforcing area restrictions and education tourist in wildlife conservation. By improving how information is delivered on-site, we can foster a respectful environment that protects both the tourists and the marine ecosystem.
Project 4
Upgrade Duolingo
How might we redesign learning experiences that ensure users actively understand and not just consume content?
Duolingo has been one of the most popular sites for learning new languages, but many people have reported they have not been able to be fluent in their new language. One of the components that has caused this is the lack of human interaction, which is essential to understanding meaning and natural conversation skills.
To address this gap, I try to address this gap in Duolingo by adding human interaction Duolingo and how this can help people to understand and be fluent in a new language and culture.
